This was taken with the A*300mm f4.0 and F 1.7x converter. It wasn't the 
brightest day, (conditions were somewhere between "cloudy bright" and 
overcast, I've found that the 1.7x auto focuses nicely with lenses with 
maximum apertures down to f4.0 under most conditions.
(it's really hard to get good exposures of these birds in bright sunlight).
