On 08/09/07, Scott Loveless, discombobulated, unleashed:

You're welcome. It's 480 lines which isn'd bad, but it's still only 4:3.
I'll have to shoot everything for my news channel in 16:9 from December
4th, so I'll be hunting for something similar in widescreen. Of course,
the 4;3 can be converted but I like to keep up with trends ;-)

BTW, I use a MiniDV camcorder as a recording device, and bolt the lot
to one of these for some interesting shots, including underwater:

I've adapted it so the mini cam goes on the business end and the MiniDV
camcorder goes back at the operator end jigged onto a bracket and I view
it on the pull-out LCD. Note that very few camcorders allow a separate
video/audio input other than what they record through the lens. An
alternative would be a small mini VTR, but they are more expensive, or
indeed a hard drive recorder (again expensive). When I get a proper copy
if Final Cut, I'll be able to compress some of my broadcast footage
properly and put it onto my website, so I'll give you a link in a few
months....

Best,
