Ah... Maybe they really are confusing, then. I always thought there was 
an entirely different reason why I couldn't figure out how to get my 
friend's D70 to do what I wanted (which was essentially to take a 
picture in a mode different from auto-everything) that time I tried it. 
But perhaps the time of day (or night) and all the empty bottles on the 
table had nothing do do with it after all ;-)
