I think we should concider the source of this information. This tweedle guy has stirred up a lot of mess in the Pentax forum earlier, if I remember correctly. Now he quotes some pretty obscure material with no links. Nobody knows the real source. He could be making it up, for all we know. I'm not saying it is all BS, but it sure can be.
