A few years back, when I went off to college, you could get a telephone in the dormitory suite (4 rooms sharing a common bathroom). The portion of the telephone bill you had to return to *THE TELEPHONE COMPANY* with the payment came printed on IBM punch cards (pre-punched with the account number and payment amount). The dormitory was near the back of the Comp-Sci building where in the basement (dungeon) the university kept keypunch machines available all night long for the students to work on their programs. This was also the era of "Draft Beer - Not Students!" The rest, is as they say, "left as an exercise for the student". -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
