Now you're making me feel old! (I think E6 took over around 1976) If it makes you feel younger, I have my father's Bolex 8mm windup, made before cameras came with batteries. Many of the movies were on B&W because in the late 50's and early 60's there weren't any color films fast enough to overcome high school available gloom stadiums.
