I can believe it. I've had no problems with a @mac.com e-mail address handled the volume nicely. You have to pick up the mail with a reader -- there's no online option -- but it's a good alternative for separating mail. You're supposed to be using a Mac to get an @mac.com e-mail address, but if you're not there are some workarounds (or you can have a Mac-using friend sign you up and give you the passwords, since you can access it from any OS).
