Religion is not a matter of reason. Religious people often use the tactic you've used below, which Daniel Dennett has described as playing tennis with the net down for one player. On one side the religious appeal to faith, which is by definition irrational. Yet when the irreligious mock them, they demand 'reason and discernment'! Har!
