Thanks for the thoughts, Tom. Your idea for the color/grayscale
treatment of Rust feels a bit "tricked up" to me.
Sometime I'd like to try the church shot in morning light. I could
better isolate it and eliminate the influence of the building edge and
"garden".
Lesson learned: When shooting at higher elevations, my impression is
the light has a stark intensity that pushes the dynamic range somewhat
more than I experienced with slide film. Shooting RAW and bracketing
are suggested.
