Just scored a used AF540FGZ from Craigslist (only $200?!?!) and I've just finished putting it through the 'test paces' here at the house.
In a word - excellent. Everything that I've wished I could do with the Sigma EF500DG Super just plain worked. Bounce? Proper exposure. Straight ahead? Proper exposure. Manual lens set to a weird F-stop? Proper exposure. Sto-Fen crammed on the end? Proper exposure. I'm so relieved to have a flash that just plain works.
