Good plan :-) With practice & the right tools (I use either PTGui or Hugin) de-fishing isn't too hard, but you do loose a fair bit in the crop. I originally got the 10-17 for doing panoramas, but the more I use it more I like it. <http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2286/1873955934_7c946d929a_o.jpg> <http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2164/1873946044_223b493bb6_o.jpg> <http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2070/1873614000_eb7bcffdb4_o.jpg> I even managed to work (part of) myself into this shot (bottom centre of frame) <http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2157/1872754167_06090cd9e2_o.jpg> <http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1198/1452643623_1619e0b9e3_o.jpg> <Warning Cat Photo> <http://www.arach.net.au/~savage/Misc/Images/K10D/_IGP7094.jpg> </Warning Cat Photo> ...and finally my favourite shot: <http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1207/1156628029_59615df340_o.jpg> I can't comment on the 12-24, but the 10-17 is a seriously fun lens :-) Cheers, Dave -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
