That's not what I was after at all. And you didn't answer the question... :-) My point is this: If it is so that only the submitting photographers vote, it's not at all surprising that it takes a fortnight to get the pics through the procedure. We know that 40 votes are required for each photo before it is presented to the jury (if I'm the only one to have received this info, I'll forward the mail from the Gallery people). IOW, the process will take as long as it takes 40 photographers to log on and cast votes, plus the time it takes the Pentax jury to provide the final verdict. As one who vote frequently, I know there are literally hundreds of photos passing through the system every week. From looking at the EXIF metadata in the shots, it also seems likely that each photographer submit 5-10 pictures per round of verdicts from Pentax. Which means that with eg. 300 shots per week, you have a pool of 30-60 voting photographers. Assume 60 photographers, and each would have to vote for 200 photos a week to grind all the submissions through the mill. There are currently 500 published photographers in the gallery, btw.
