    I will once again reccomend the Polaroid Sprintscan 4000. After the
rebate, you can get it for $550 brand new. I've been very impressed by both
the scanner and the software. It has very low noise in the shadows and it is
a 4000dpi scanner. Check out the archives of the filmscanner mail list to
