Hello everyone,

I believe I've seen somebody mentioning on this list this problem,
but I couldn't find the thread, so I apologize for bringing
up this question again.

I've been using "serial number" option in my *ist DS to number the
files. After it created the file IMGP9999.PEF located in DCIM\100,
it started the directory (folder) DCIM\101, and started
writing files named IMGP0001.PEF, ..02.PEF, etc.
(so when I review it in the body, the file number looks like
101-0001)
However, once I formated the card, it kept the file number, but
the new card had again DCIM\100, instead of DCIM\101

While this by itself wouldn't be a big problem by itself
(the file name still doesn't have "100" or "101" in it),
following this fact, the camera didn't realize that IMGP0126.PEF
had actually higher number (101-0126) then IMGP9865.PEF (100-9865),
and when I inserted one older card, and reformated it, the camera
picked up that number and continued from 9866, 9867, etc.
This created a set of duplicated file names from the same trip.

I have the firmware v. 2.00
Does anybody know if this was fixed in the later versions?
The Pentaximaging.com website only lists "support for SDHC memory cards"
being added and improved in 2.01 and 2.02.

Thanks,

Igor
