And especially true for a system with so few lenses available. I think the current goal for Contax with their digital SLR (which is probably quite different from the goal they had in mind when they began development!) is not so much to convince photographers to move into their system, but to *prevent* those who have Contax cameras from bailing *out* of it because of the digital revolution. Or at least to ease the worries of those who have considered the Contax system and are ambivalent about buying into it. I wouldn't even *think* of getting into a camera system that didn't have a digital body at least in the works. Hell, the *publicity* they'll get from the first full-frame digital SLR will be worth a lot. If Contax loses money on every digital camera they sell it'll probably benefit the company as a whole - not just due to the publicity and the lenses that will be bought for it, but because of the N1 film cameras that will sell because they suddenly don't look like the end of the line.
