Charles, I had similar issue with various Transcend high speed cards (40x, 80x) in my DL. - card write take a long time - can not review images - see "card error"
I also return a couple of cards, and RMA somes. Eventually, my DL also hesitant to take picture when I press the shutter release button (similar to when you have AF on, but the AF won't lock) I finally called Pentax and they asked that I sent in the DL. The verdict: Bad motherboard, replaced.
