I talked to a marketing guy at Pentax about the digital SLR they were supposed to be working on. They abandoned the project because the camera would have ended up having a retail price of over $10,000. But they're working on a new design. I think the problem was making the concept work with the existing MZ-S body. Their new plan is to build a digital SLR body from the ground up. We'll see what happens.
