Albano,
do you know the old saying: "An Argentinian is an Italian who speaks Spanish
and believes to be a French"? Well, I'm an Italian who thinks to speak
Spanish and pretends to be an Argentinian....
I was luckier than you, a day I had the odd idea to take some shots in Boca
(real Boca, not Caminito...) : two guys kindly told me the children around
didn't like to be portraited. There was neither a child around. "Which
children? I was shooting old houses...". My girl-friend (Argentinian) knew
what was coming, said thanks boys, please buy some candies to these nice
kids, and gave them five pesos. We could leave the area with the gear.... Of
course, it would have been happened in Rome, too, but; I guess; in a less
surrealistic way, and without any chance to save the gear!
Great and unlucky Country, beloved Argentina!
Fabio
