I bought the MV1 with the m40 for $100 in the early 1980's. I walked into a camera shop in San Francisco while on vacation and the clerk made me an offer. I said no to that but bought the camera anyway.

Of course those all had electronic shutter but B and X-speed which were mechanical if I'm not mistaken. In fact I never understood why Pentax made so many very similar cameras.
