I don't know about the Sigma converters, but when I had this lens (I sold it to a list member a pair of years ago), I sometimes used it with the Pentax AF adapter 1.7x and a Kenko SHQ 2x AF teleconverter. AF worked with both of them, given enough light. Images taken with the Pentax were sharp and contrasty, with little loss of quality. Results were not so good with the Kenko converter. Bokeh was worse (harsher) with both converters.
