Just as an aside, and may be totally inappropriate for the the original poster is looking for, but I depend on precise vehicular navigation on a daily basis, however, I hate TomTom's and routefinders, because I like to have a general overview of where I am, zooming in to where I need to be as I get closer.
The iPhone does this beautifully - with a large portrait display living on the dash of my Land Rover, it uses Google maps and I can drag around with my finger, double-tapping to zoom in, or the two-finger method zooming in or out at any time. I react to the traffic situations around me and can alter course at a moment's notice. It's pretty easy to see and read while driving, and simplicity itself to operate. Oh yes, it's a phone as well ;-) HTH -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ||=====| http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
