I have the D200, so i doubt i'll even look at a D300. Its a good camera, does pop up flash very well, more consistant than my two Pentax cameras, but i have noticed that with landscapes, the sharpness is fine. In action, like my equine stuff, they tend to have a slight softness to them.(using suggested settings by Bill Fourtney and a VR telephoto)
My D1 and D1H give a sharper image. As for live view, i'd need to try it first, to see.
