My interest in the grip started with the Grand Prix version of the K10D. Decided the extra money wasn't worth it.
I was tempted again when the price for the grip alone dropped below £90 UK. Then I read a quote that it was easier and a lot cheaper to put a spare battery and SD card in your pocket. So I didn't even bother to run it past the Chief Financial Controller. Ironically she is so pleased with the pictures of the grandchildren from the K10D that she would probably have agreed. As for chimping, I can take 100's of pictures on the camera battery alone. With two spare batteries in my pocket and a couple of SD cards, there is no practical limit. I also have problems with my right arm and hand so the extra weight would not be welcome. In vertical orientation, I use the camera with the shutter button at the bottom right without difficulty Bring on the K20D!!!
