Thanks Christine. The shot was taken around 1:45 in the AM. I could not believe how many people were down on the mall that evening. The problem I was running up against was finding a period when there were no people in the shot. Also, the lighting on the Washington Monument was usually turned off at 2:00 AM. After I had the shots I left before 2:00 AM, so I don't know if the lights actually were turned off or not. :-)
