Cool story. I love people who live interestingly. The secret to winter--same as the secret to summer, for those who are bothered by heat--is to get out in it. If you spend time outside every day you learn how to dress for it, you adapt to it, and it can quickly become a delight. One winter in Vermont I spent so much time outdoors that it was physically uncomfortable to come indoors--seemed like walking into a sauna. I couldn't bear the indoor temperature being above 55 degrees--40 degrees inside at night, under about nineteen blankets and quilts! Great way to sleep. Wisconsin winters can be much worse than Vermont winters, though, on account of the wind. They call Chicago "the Windy City," but Milwaukee is actually more windy than Chicago. We had a relatively mild winter here last year, despite getting sixty inches of snow in one month (December). Bad winters here are nearly arctic. --Mike - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
