Bodies that can't control the aperture simply push the aperture lever on the lens to close down the aperture as far as it will go. An aperture ring on a lens physically stops this action at the selected aperture. Since your lens does not have an aperture ring, the body will completely stop down the lens. The aperture simulator is a mechanical feedback device, not the lever used to stop the lens down.
