I believe this was discussed recently. I took 10 slides to the local Costco. They scanned and put on cd for 2.90, including the cd. The images are about 2100 dpi, avg 3.2 meg each file. JPEG only unfortunately.
However, the quality was excellent. I thought I was getting ok results from my HP scanner at 2400 dpi but the prints from these are much better than I had been able to do from my scans. Tomorrow I will be selecting from my large archive the slides I want to archive on cd's. At that price it will be worth paying someone else. Also, they were fast. Had the job done in 30 minutes!
