Thanks, Paul. I love this lens, a lot, but it is heavy for me, and more 
times than not I use it with a tripod, and I'm ok with walking about with a 
tripod,  BUT, I need more practice hand-holding the lens, which will happen 
when the weather improves.  If you have any suggestions to improve one's 
hand-holding technique that would be greatly appreciated.

On a funnier note:  My girlfriend, Belinda, calls the lens, Big Dick (I hope 
you're not offended by this.)  She was in town yesterday (she lives out by 
Dekalb), and we were getting ready to go out.  I said, "I think I'll take my 
camera, what lens etc etc."  And she said, "You're not taking Big Dick. 
That lens is too big, too cumbersome to watch when you're wanting me to 
watch it for you.  I mean it.  Big Dick stays home tonight."

As they say, I ROTFL.
