Thanks for your help guys! The Pentax A and FA versions I've seen so far are, for me, prohibitively expensive (2,000.00 -3,500.00). Do old beaters (that still work) ever sell for < 1000 ?
Mike: when you said "You can get an AF version that will work with all present Pentax DSLRs" are you referring to a AF version of the adapter? Or a newer version of the lens? If the latter, do you know if these are also "adaplall" so that if I found one in Canon/Nikon mount I could just get a new adapter? The manual focus version uses an adaptor mount that allows you to choose between A, M or screwmount Pentax cameras. Or most other popular mounts.
