to answer my own question: apparently not. At least according to Wiki. I'm also surprised to see that the gelada is also no longer a baboon. It is my ambition to go and watch (and listen to) geladas next time I'm in Ethiopia (which I hope will be soon, as I'm getting very nostalgic for the place).
