My only time in Memphis was for a meeting at Rhodes College. I stayed downtown in a Hampton Inn which was surrounded by hospitals. It seemed that no matter what direction I walked I couldn't escape the hospitals. I was during the fall so the weather was fine. I have more experience with the other two Tennessee cities, Nashville and Knoxville, but Memphis would be third from what I saw.
