Hi Everyone:

Any William Faulkner fans on the list? We drove down to Oxford, Mississippi
to see Faulkner's Home, Rowan Oak & some manuscript archives at the
University of Mississippi, as well as stopping at the Center for Southern
Culture, which is on campus as well. I highly recommend going to the campus
library to see the manuscript items. Faulkner's Nobel Peace Prize is there
among other items. It's free. Ole' Miss is a lovely campus, and we were
surprised to learn the student body is only around 14,000 students. I would
have guessed 20-25, but I would have been only wrong--again.

Anyway, I've wanted to photograph this famous front walk for a long time.
Unfortunately, the conditions were not so good: cloudy & a constant misty
rain. The grounds, which are lovely, were quite muddy. I had to work fast,
wipe the camera, work faster, wipe the camera, then work even faster.
Still, I'm happy I got something. Sometimes you just have to shoot in the
conditions Mother Nature gives & make peace with this fact.
