Right now, they have the best-featured, advanced amateur class DSLR body for the money ... there's good mileage to be had out of that. But there's a world of difference between what Pentax is offering as a top of the line vs what Olympus, Nikon, Canon and (soon) Sony are offering in pro- class equipment. Whenever I've been using the K10D for a while and pick up the Olympus E-1, the E-1 shocks me with how smooth, quiet, solid and capable it feels, how every control moves precisely and securely, how much *better* the viewfinder is for manual focus, etc. And it's a 2003 design. I want the same feeling out of a Pentax body to properly match the Limited lenses.
