Hi Mark,

I had my LX repaired at a non pentax repair shop, however the lady that
repaired it did used to work for Pentax. They did an excellent job. I did
have to take it back once as they forgot to replace the pad that the mirror
rests on.
During the service they also replaced the mirror assembly and all up the CLA
and replacement of the mirror assembly cost $180au.

5 trips to a repair shop in 2 years is ridiculous, unless you were giving
your camera an absolute flogging, like dragging it through deserts and rain
forest and shooting a number of rolls per day.

I'd be to scared to take it out incase it failed again on me.

Regards,
Paul Jones
