There's two kinds of HDR I quite enjoy. One is the straight
renderings, which is what I tend to shoot myself. The second is the
surreal, painterly renderings like this one, which feel pictorialist
to me.

The badly halo'd 'ooh, cool' HDR's that are most common I quite
dislike for the most part. They look like cheap CGI to me.
