Thanks, Paul.  The hand problem is yet again a result of not holding the 
camera square.  When I rotate the frame to get the verticals square, I lose 
some of the frame; this time it was the thumb nail, which I really tried to 
save.  I could have saved it if I had cropped to just below his belt, but 
that crop gave the frame a completely different feel--it diminished the feel 
of him being a doorman, which I don't want to do.  Ugh!  Anyway, thanks for
