I think I am still going to disagree with you..... Just because
it's not the information one expects to see, doesn't mean that
there is less of it. In the given example, there will seen a lot
of information about colour shades as opposed to shape
information.  The shape information is there, just not in the
form expected.

I realise that this is pedantry but, as pedants do, I think it
is quite important.  It is one of the basic tenets of art that
there is more to it than meets the eye......
