The Patriot cards only cost something like $35.00, I was looking at 8gb Ultra II cards at Best Buy the other day, I think they were close to $90.00 each. For the most part, the slower write time is fine with me now that the buffer is a decent size. Big memory with fast write speeds = $$$$ though.
