I have sent my K10D back to the nest as well.  The back focus with the
FA 40 was noticeable wide open but I could have lived with it.  It
goes
off warranty in June, however, and I decided to see if these purported
upgrades were actually available.  Plus, the adjustment shouldn't
actually hurt.  (Famous last words.)
