Thanks Bob and Frank for the comments.
I almost grabbed a can of black spraypaint to paint the clothsline,
but figured the smell would drive the dragonfly away (I assume they
can smell?)
Believe it or not this is the first time I have ever photographed a
dragonfly. When I was a kid I used to "play" with them and get them to
land on a short stick and would carry them around like they were a
pet.
I will play with some of the shots in PS to see what I can do about the line.
