Well, the manual does say to only use Alkaline AA cells as a very
last resort ... I guess that'd be why.
I'm a little startled to note how quickly 800 frames go by with
this camera. I just uploaded a batch from the CF card, glanced
at the file numbers, and thought, "wait, that can't be right..."
