It used to drive my wife mental when I was shooting with the 4x5. We'd get to a location and I'd just wander around for a half hour or so, apparently enjoying the ambiance of the place, and then, apparently looking like i was doing things completely at random, I would start taking pictures. I think what bothered her was that the places where I spent the most time looking, were the places I didn't set up the camera.
