Last spring or early summer someone on this list laughingly pointed out one
of these lenses available on a store's web site at an absurd (?) price. I
immediately went and bought the lens (it was either $500 or $600) and have
had it pretty much permanently mounted on one of my cameras every since. If
it was $500 I was at the low end of the current price range, if it was $600
I was toward the high end. In either case, money well spent.
