Practicing with the FA* 600/4. I like the interaction between the birds, though it's not a very good shot. I suppose I could crop a bit to the left and clone out the rest of the twig, but part of the point here is to show it full-frame. The most important lessons from today were: 1. The AF is surprisingly fast and accurate. An awesome step up from the FA* 400/5.6 that I've been used to. 2. Never EVER leave home again with only one half-charged battery in the camera. 3. The AOV from this lens corresponds roughly to what my thumbnail can cover at arm's length. 4. The amount of detail resolved by this lens is not veeery impressing, but it kinda makes up for it in contrast.
