OK, OK, my initial comment just tried to put an humorous end to an (to me) interesting article. It wasn't too accurate and trying to defend it has only led to show my ignorance of the aeronautic/military industry...

The *ist-D can probably survive anything you could. I think you'd probably survive being in the equivalent of a V-2 take off, that is assuming it didn't blow up just after liftoff, (they did that quite often), the landing however...
