Having had over 90 rejections, I'm not sure I'm qualified to help in any way! :-)> But here goes.... Flower photos are difficult to get up - I think thay have to be innovative in some way. Colourful and well exposed (as yours are) is probably not enough. I've also had several flower shots rejected. The spider (I think I've seen before as a PESO - scary little bugger!) probably lacks a bit of context. I don't feel confident about commenting on the children's photos - I'm not much good at portraiture and I don't really know what the judges are looking for. The one with the girl under the spray of water probably suffers from an untidy background so there is lack of contrast between her hair and the background.
