I doubt that anyone remembers, but early this spring I asked about wild California poppies and whether or not they could be cultivated here in the midwest. My best friend, who lives in Santa Barbara, had given me some seeds, and I was determined to grow some flowers. Well, my California Poppies are blooming-- several months later than they bloom out there on the coast. But they're looking good. I shot a pic of one with the K20D, the Vivitar 90/2.5 macro, the 540 flash and the lightsphere in dome up mode. Not a great pic, but it does confirm that I have indeed grown a wild California Poppy way back here in Michigan. Paul
