I like the shot very much -- ironic juxtaposition always gets me and the 
"geometry" is nice  but... hmm.. about the ornithology...
I cant see them well enough, but do you have very small gulls down there 
or they are a different
shore bird.?
I say that not only for the difference in size being greater than  I'm 
used to seeing or remember seeing
between pelicans and gulls, but because gulls are very agressive feeders 
and no too easily put off by larger critters
having what they want to eat.  

I can't help myself when it comes to birds and bugs and flowers - I 
always want to know exactly who they are.
