Yes, Swindon is the correct spelling. I have vague memories of quite a
few pub crawls around Swindon in the 80s, drinking Wadworth's 6X,
which is a very fine local pint but has a tendency to destroy your
memory.

Swindon is famous for railways, pigs, and its magic roundabout, which
is ironic really, given its proximity to Stonehenge. By a strange
historical quirk traffic roundabouts are the direct architectural
descendants of Stonehenge.
