Hi Paul:  I read this yesterday and thought it very interesting, but then I 
mulled it over in my head and decided you've provided some bigger lessons 
here:  1)  as I work with & learn more about my equipment, I'll make better 
decisions about how to use said equipment for better pictures; 2) I need to 
set some time for just pure playful experimentation--followed by thoughtful 
& attentive analysis-- rather than primarily focusing on photo
